CIGI Packet Support
Standard CIGI packets are implemented for Version 3 (V3) and Version 4 (V4) where both standard and user extended packets are little-endian. As outlined in the CIGI standard, Image Generators are to map the interface into its existing features, not features into the interface. Whenever possible Nova’s CIGI implementation supports this goal, but for cases in which existing Image Generator features are not supported by the standard, the Nova CIGI interface employs user defined packets.
The support level for CIGI standard packets is defined below. If a packet is partially supported, see the reference section for the specific fields that ARE supported and those that ARE NOT supported. By default, all standard CIGI and user defined packets use the Packet ID and Packet Size fields as per the CIGI ICD so they are assumed supported in the following sections.
